UK's Best Emerging Designer
Lisa Marini has secured a place in the finals of UK’s Best Emerging Designer 2008. Recently gaining her membership to the Chartered Society of Designers (MCSD), Lisa, from our Milton Keynes office, produced a design that caught the eye of the judges with a highly contemporary interior layout.
The solution emphasized part of the brief that stated “Risky or resisting the norm” opposing a typical standard residential arrangement incorporating circular walls and bespoke furniture, creating an instant visual impact. The competition launched by property developer Londonewcastle, together with idFX, 100% Design and BIDA set the brief to design a living room and master bedroom over 450sq ft in a typical Londonewcastle space for a fictional music producer client. The budget included furniture, flooring, lighting and expenses such as window treatments and technology.
The competition winning solutions feature on page 135 in the September edition of idFX magazine. Lisa’s Interior designs have received interest from many potential clients as Vector Design shows continued growth.
